The Scooter

After being diagnosed, the school nurse and my principal ordered me an orthopedic scooter. It makes getting around the school much easier.... and more fun.

It is so awesome! I decked it out with lights and streamers so it’s extra obnoxious. A teacher at my school got me a bell to use so I can let people know I’m coming down the hall (they’re eventually going to regret that decision). I also decided to add a musical element to it so I can pump up the other teachers in the morning.

I‘m actually pretty sure some people hate it. No, I do not slow down in the hallways. Yes, I do yell “move it or lose it” to the kids waiting in the bus lines after school. Yes, I do take turns on two wheels. Yes, I have almost fallen off it.

I try to be respectful with it when appropriate. But life is about having fun and enjoying the little things. So that’s what I do.

That's My Girl!

Lounging in bed with my little bean. Her. In a diaper. Me. In my underwear. Both staring out the window. Silence. I fart. She farts....

Mantras

I always thought mantras were for hippies and people too focused on getting ahead in their careers. I realize now that I was wrong....
